Our Easter Playlist
For us, Easter has become just as important as Christmas.
Music is a must when it comes to celebrating, reflecting, or worship. As musicians, you can only imagine the size of our Christmas playlist. We don't have to tell you how many choices we all have when it comes to Christmas music.
But what about Easter music? We decided we needed an Easter playlist as well. We wanted the music on our playlist to be softer, even a little more sacred. So we gathered 15 songs that are now on repeat during Holy Week, and wanted to share them with you! (contains some affiliate links)
1. Forever - Nathan Pacheco
There are several versions of this song, we are partial to Nathan's. I dare you to sing along and not cry.
2. What Love is This - Kari Jobe
When we're not distracted by how much we love Kari's voice, we get so wrapped up in these lyrics.
3. For All You've Done - Mercy River
We have to include a couple of ours, right? This is an older song, but the words still give us chills.
4. God So Loved the World - City of Enoch
All three of us remember the first time we heard this song. Absolutely floored.
5. We Fall Down - Nichole Nordeman
One of our favorite Christian songwriters of all time. Easy to sing along to, which is a must for us.
6. Garden Walls - Mindy Gledhill
To this day, one of the most beautiful songs about Gethsamane ever written. We never get tired of it.
7. I Will Rise - Chris Tomlin
Extremely well known song, and for good reason. So powerful.
8. Carry Your Name - Christy Nockels
Christy is a powerhouse in the worship department, we love her message here.
9. This Is The Christ - Calee Reed
From her latest album, a beautiful rendition of a favorite hymn.
10. Your Great Name - Natalie Grant
Natalie sings with so much conviction, her love for Christ is apparent in this song.
11. Man of Sorrow - Shane and Shane
There are several renditions of this song, this one's our favorite. A mix of hip and spiritual.
12. How Deep the Father's Love for Us - Mercy River
Had to add this one. Really, we can barely get through it without crying. We love it.
13. Through His Name - Hilary Weeks
We've always loved this song. Another one that stands the test of time.
14. Redeemer - Steven Sharp Nelson (featuring Paul Cardall)
We needed an instrumental in here, so naturally we turn to Steven. This is so beautiful.
15. Because He Lives - Matt Maher
There's so much joy in this song, it's feels like a celebration. Exactly the way we feel on Easter Sunday. The unplugged version is my personal favorite.
